Al-Jadira Municipality has completed a project to pave internal roads
The Al-Jadira Village Council was established in Al-Jadira in 1996 and consisted of nine members appointed by the Palestinian Authority. It was later transformed into Al-Jadira Municipality by Decision No. 3312 issued on 9/8/2020 by the Ministry of Local Government.
Al-Jadira is one of the villages in the Jerusalem Governorate, located northwest of Jerusalem, approximately 3.9 km from the city center.
It is bordered by Qalandiya to the east, Bir Nabala to the south, Rafat to the north, and Al-Jib to the west.
According to the Al-Jadira Village Council, there are three explanations for the name "Al-Jadira":
The village dates back to the Roman era, and its residents originally came from Yemen and Al-Arish in Egypt.
Dear residents of our beloved town, Al-Jadira, Amid the economic and political challenges we all face, the role of municipalities stands out as a fundamental element in building a better future and achieving the development our people deserve. Here at Al-Jadira Municipality, we strive with you and through you to advance our town, relying on the ambitions of its sons and daughters and their belief in our shared ability to create change. Facing these challenges requires the concerted efforts of everyone: governmental and non-governmental institutions, the private sector, as well as our partners from international organizations. Together, we can realize our shared vision and implement projects that serve the best interests of the town’s residents. We are committed to developing infrastructure, stimulating economic growth, enhancing community services, and upholding principles of good governance to ensure a prosperous and safe future for every family in Al-Jadira. Let us move forward together with a spirit of cooperation and responsibility toward a bright future for our town and its wonderful people. Yours sincerely,
