Engineering Department Tasks


The Engineering Department handles a wide range of tasks, including:



  • Supervising all types of permits, including building, apartment, and excavation permits.

  • Reviewing structural plans and making necessary amendments.

  • Following up on land and apartment division procedures according to approved regulations.

  • Monitoring all funded project procedures and supervising all stages of implementation from planning to completion to ensure compliance with required standards.

  • Supervising the execution of infrastructure projects such as water, sewage, electricity networks, and roads.

  • Ensuring safety and quality standards in all construction and development works within the town.

  • Conducting technical and engineering studies to develop town facilities and improve public services.

  • Designing and implementing road, square, and public space improvement projects.

  • Monitoring and maintaining existing public facilities to ensure their continued efficient operation.

  • Preparing periodic technical reports on ongoing projects and the town’s construction status.

  • Participating in preparing engineering budgets and estimating future project costs.

  • Providing engineering consultations to the municipality and citizens to ensure projects comply with local laws and regulations.
