Engineering Department Tasks
The Engineering Department handles a wide range of tasks, including:
Supervising all types of permits, including building, apartment, and excavation permits.
Reviewing structural plans and making necessary amendments.
Following up on land and apartment division procedures according to approved regulations.
Monitoring all funded project procedures and supervising all stages of implementation from planning to completion to ensure compliance with required standards.
Supervising the execution of infrastructure projects such as water, sewage, electricity networks, and roads.
Ensuring safety and quality standards in all construction and development works within the town.
Conducting technical and engineering studies to develop town facilities and improve public services.
Designing and implementing road, square, and public space improvement projects.
Monitoring and maintaining existing public facilities to ensure their continued efficient operation.
Preparing periodic technical reports on ongoing projects and the town’s construction status.
Participating in preparing engineering budgets and estimating future project costs.
Providing engineering consultations to the municipality and citizens to ensure projects comply with local laws and regulations.
